Information for Prospective PhD Students

Dr. Han is seeking multiple PhD/Mphil students for each academic year on Power Electronics, Wireless Power Transfer, Electric Vehicle Technologies, Electric Machinary, Smart Grid and other emerging directions!

Positions are open for the PhD program at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) all year around. We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate or master graduates with preferred academic background in Power Electronics, DC/DC and DC/AC Converters, Wireless Power Transfer, Wide-Bandgap Semiconductor, Motor Drives and Smart Grid. Successful applicants will be offered full-time scholarship at highly competitive rates.

• Scholarship: PhD/Mphil studentships with a stipend of $CNY15,000/10,000 per month.  (PORTAL: HKUST(GZ) Guangzhou Pilot Scheme)

• Requirement: All Applicants are required to fulfill the University Admission Requirement. As Programs are taught in English, the University Admission Requirements include English Language Admission Requirement.
